NICU Reunion 2010!
Once again another year has passed and we are blessed to attend another NICU reunion!!! Houston and I had a little date to the party while Daddy and McKennon stayed behind. I had a blast escorting my little NICU alumni around to all the fun games they had planned, we also got to snuggle on a few of our favorite nurses who we are forever grateful for!
Even when it is 95 out this kid cannot get enough of a bounce house obstacle coarse!
Pirate face painting and a balloon snake….. ssssss… as Houston would say!
Sweet Ms. Georgia she took care of Houston many of the days he was in the hospital and she was also his costar in the NICU commercial they filmed for the hospital while we were there!
Miss Lindsay couldn’t believe how much our little monkey had grown!
Another year has come and gone, another reunion under the belt!!!

Labor Day Weekend!
There is a family tradition on my Mom’s side of the family to go up to my Grandparents in Michigan every labor day and visit a local craft fair. Unfortunately Mom and I haven’t been able to attend in many years but this year I was DETERMINED we were going. Brooks stayed behind because of work (and it is more of a girls weekend anyway) while Mom, the kiddos and myself traveled to the big town outside Alpena, Michigan. My Grandparents spend their summers in their house in Michigan in this awesome private community called Lost Lake Woods. Just being there flooded my mind with many of my fondest childhood memories… I LOVE that place…. the smell, the sounds, the peacefulness. I can’t express how happy it made me to share just one weekend up there with my children… they may not remember it, but I will. Here are just a handful of pictures from our trip. All 5 of my Aunts were there (who are ALL AMAZING), 8 of my cousins, and of course my Grandparents.
The Taylor sisters with the woman who made them all possible!
A handful of the grandkids (and great grandkids too!)
Houston Loved his first pony ride!
We played on the beach even though it was a little chilly!
My sweet girl with her great-grandmother!
Ahh, the bear house…. My cousin Laura and I were carefully teaching Houston how exactly to play with this little piece of nostalgia. This was our very FAVORITE thing to play with at our grandparents. Complete with some new modern furnishings as well as the antiques we played with I’m pretty sure Laura and I had more fun playing than Houston did! Oh and Laura this is my post it note!
My sweet grandparents… Mckennon was less than thrilled to be photographed so this was as good as it got…. oh and the 3 different occasions we attempted a 4 generation pic were unsuccessful… oh well!
